Cannes 2019 announces jury grid

72nd Cannes Film Festival announces jury member.

The 72nd annual Cannes Film Festival has announced full jury members.

The festival’s board of directors appointed four jurors who will hold sole responsibility for selecting films from the festival screening lineup which will receive the blessing of a Cannes award.  

This year’s jury, which features fewer actors and actresses than usual, is comprised of four women and four men from seven different nationalities.

Mexican director Alejandro González Iñárritu will serve as the president of this prestigious film event.   

The 2019 Cannes Festival jury consists of:

  • Elle Fanning (actress, USA)
  • Maimouna N'Diaye (actress/director - Burkina Faso)
  • Kelly Reichardt (director/screenwriter/editor - USA)
  • Alice Rohrwacher (director/screenwriter - Italy)
  • Enki Bilal (filmmaker/graphic novelist - France)
  • Robin Campillo (director/screenwriter/editor - France)
  • Yorgos Lanthimos (director/screenwriter/producer - Greece)
  • Pawel Palikowski (director/screenwriter - Poland)

The city of Cannes in France will host 200,000 people, including filmmakers, film fans, studio executives, and cinephiles alike on May 14-25, 2019 for 12 days.
